Design of a book cover for the Penguin Cover Design Award 2022, the book selected for this project was “Diary of a Young Naturalist” by Dara McAnulty.  

The design aims to capture the essence of the book’s theme of wonder, exploration, and beauty of the natural world, inviting readers to immerse themselves and celebrate nature. By using a blend of vibrant colours from the natural world, intricate illustrations, and organic elements to evoke a sense of wonder and the beauty of the natural world 

The process consisted of designing a cover using a combination of photography mixed with embroidery technique to add texture, depth and add visual interest and personal touch, and digital software.
